Certified Production Technician (CPT)

e Manufacturing Skills Standard Classification (MSSC) was established in 2003 to provide a national certification for the production technician. The objective has been to deliver modern skills for the “industrial athlete.” The MSSC CPT program is geared to both entry- level and experienced workers who desire good frontline positions in manufacturing. The course has been described as manufacturing “boot camp.” Most students pass at least 3 of the 4 modules on initial attempts. Those top performers passing all assessments earn the coveted CPT emblem which can be placed on digital resumes and uniforms. The CPT distinction is a nationally-recognized credential.
