New Student Orientation (NSO)

Congratulations on your decision to attend Cumberland County College!

If you’ve already completed your application and the Accuplacer (or submitted SAT scores),
you are now ready to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO)

Every incoming freshman is required to attend a NSO before meeting with an academic
advisor to register for courses. New Student Orientations are optional for transfer
students who have already completed 9 or more college credits
. For more information,
please see Transfer Students.

The NSO will last about an hour and will include a short presentation and information on
logging into your WebAdvisor Portal and Gmail accounts.  You will also have an opportunity
to discuss your major and Accuplacer testing options.  After completing the NSO, you will be
eligible to meet with an adviser to register for courses.

You’ll need to log in to your WebAdvisor Portal account and Student Gmail prior to attending
the NSO. The instructions can be found on the admissions letter that was mailed to you.
